U Trough Model Auger Conveyor 3 Ton Capacity LS Small Screw Feeder
I. Overview.
The LS screw conveyor is designed and manufactured in accordance
with the JB/T 7679-95 "Screw Conveyor" standard. It is a
replacement product of the GX screw conveyor. Screw conveyor,
commonly known as auger, is a widely used conveying equipment in
the mining, feed, grain and oil, and construction industries. It is
made of steel and used to convey powder or solid particles and
other chemical and building materials products.
II. Working principle and Applictaion
When the screw shaft rotates, due to the gravity of the material
and the friction generated by the wall of the trough, the material
can only move forward along the bottom of the conveyor trough under
the push of the blade. The rotating screw makes the same
translational motion [3]. The movement of materials in the middle
bearing depends on the thrust of the materials moving forward.
Therefore, the transportation of materials in the conveyor is
entirely a slipping motion. In order to make the screw shaft in a
more favorable tension state, generally the driving device and the
discharge port are placed on the same end of the conveyor, and the
feed port is placed as close as possible to the tail of the other
end. The rotating screw blade pushes the material for
transportation, so that the force that the material does not rotate
with the screw conveyor blade is the weight of the material and the
frictional resistance of the screw conveyor casing to the material.
The surface of the blade has solid surface, belt surface, blade
surface and other types according to the different materials to be
conveyed. The screw shaft of the screw conveyor has a thrust
bearing at the end of the material movement direction to give the
axial reaction force of the screw with the material. When the
length of the machine is long, the middle hanging bearing should be
added.
LS type screw conveyor is widely used in various industries, such
as building materials, chemical industry, electric power,
metallurgy, coal, food and other industries. It is suitable for
horizontal or inclined conveying powder, granular and small block
materials, such as coal, ash, slag, cement , Food, etc., the
temperature of the material is less than 200℃. The LS screw
conveyor is not suitable for conveying materials that are
perishable, viscous, and easily agglomerated.
